Hans Maes is directeur van het Aesthetics Research Centre aan de University of Kent (Groot-Brittannië). Hij doceert er kunstfilosofie en media-ethiek. Eerder verschenen van zijn hand Wat is Sexy? (2019), Conversations on Art and Aesthetics (2017) en Pornographic Art and the Aesthetics of Pornography (2013).
